Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a stock number if the goods are made to order?
I only produce a limited number of my designs. The stock number represents how many of the items I will be making for that specific range.

How long does it take to produce an item?
Short answer: I aim for 4 working days
Detailed answer: There are a number of variables that affect the production times such as backlog or complexity.
The tooling, dyeing and antiquing process take place over 2-3 days because the item needs time to dry after each stage. Once dry, I can assemble and pack the order ready for the courier to collect on the Friday.
Example Scenario: Assuming I have no backlog of orders. On a Monday, I'll start producing any new orders I've received. The completed orders will be collected by the courier on Friday.

Is everything really handmade in England?
Yes. My workshop is based in the Midlands (UK). Every leather build starts from a local delivery of Vegetable Tanned Leather. I then tool, dye, antique and assemble everything myself.
The only caveat to that are consumables like rivets, dyes, packaging, etc.

Why is everything "limited edition"?
There are a couple of reasons for this:
- As a personal collector I find pride, value and excitement knowing that I own a limited item.
- As a solo leathercrafter, I don't want to lose the love of this trade by feeling like a conveyor belt. Limiting and producing new designs keeps everything fresh for me.

Do you ship to the EU?
At present, I do not ship to EU countries due to new product safety regulations. While my products are compliant, the mandatory agency fees required to trade in the EU are too high for a business of my size.
As my business grows, I plan to open up to EU sales in the future. If you are a potential EU customer, please reach out via email or social media — your interest will help me prioritise EU availability.

Will I have to pay customs fees or import taxes?
UK Customers: No, as all items are shipped domestically.
US Customers: No extra charges on delivery — all duties and taxes are collected at checkout under Royal Mail’s Delivered Duties Paid (PDDP) service.
Other International Customers (outside the UK & USA): Your order may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or import taxes upon arrival in your country. These fees are set by your local customs authority and must be paid by the recipient.
If you're unsure about potential costs, please check with your local customs office before placing an order.
