The Tissington is a compact leather wallet made from Arno, a 100% vegetable-tanned cow belly leather from Conceria Il Ponte in Tuscany, Italy. Arno has a smooth, natural finish that feels firm at first but softens with use.
The leather is engineered to show use: small marks, scuffs and colour shifts will appear easily as the rich oils move within the grain, softening and blending into a gently distressed patina that deepens over time and turns everyday wear into a record of your own story.
Designed for light carry, the Tissington offers two internal pockets for your essential cards and a few folded notes—great for evenings out, festivals or days when your full wallet can stay at home.

How it's made
The wallet is made from three cuts of leather with matching coloured thread. Once cut, the internal edges are sanded, bevelled and burnished. At this point, I complete any debossing and personalisation.
Each piece is then adhered along the edges using water-based contact adhesive. Once dry, the stitching holes are punched and the panels are hand-stitched using 0.8mm Tiger Thread. The stitching is lightly hammered to lower its profile, then the outer edges are sanded, bevelled and burnished. Each wallet can take up to two hours to craft by hand.
Approximate Dimensions
- The dimensions of the wallet is approximately 105mm tall by 160mm wide (when open)
Natural Leather Characteristics
Natural Leather Characteristics
- The colour of your leather piece may differ slightly from what you see on your screen.
- Due to the dyeing process, the colour may vary slightly depending on the area of the leather.
- As full-grain leather undergoes minimal processing, natural wrinkles may remain visible and their patterns can vary from piece to piece.
- With natural leather, some blemishes are to be expected, though I always do my best to keep these to a minimum.
